Springfield Vehicle Inspection Service

One of the most important aspects of owning a car is to keep it running in tip-top shape through vehicle inspection and regularly scheduled maintenance. At Complete Automotive in Springfield, we cannot overstate the benefits of getting your vehicle inspected and to schedule maintenance on a regular basis. This not only helps your car running smoothly, but it also allows our auto mechanics to diagnose and help prevent any problems that may crop up in the future. This will save you time and money in the long run.

When you are purchasing a pre-owned car, it’s important to have it inspected by a qualified service center. The reasoning behind this is threefold:

  1. You’ll have a clear understanding if the vehicle you’re wanting to purchase is in poor, good, or excellent operating condition.
  2. Determine if a vehicle has been well- maintained or neglected in its service history.
  3. You’ll have a better time negotiating the deal based off of the findings during the pre-purchase inspection.

At Complete Automotive in Springfield, we have created an atmosphere that is safe, inviting, and conducts all auto repairs with integrity and care. When you come into our facility, we will begin with a visual vehicle inspection and share with you what we see. If your vehicle needs deeper inspection via diagnostic testing, we will ask for your approval before we proceed. We treat your vehicle as if it were our own. While we are inspecting your vehicle, you can wait in our comfortable, art-filled waiting room or we will shuttle you to wherever you need to go. Our goal is to create a stress-free vehicle inspection process for all of our customers.

Complete Automotive is one of the few AAA-approved auto repair shops in the Springfield area. We are members of the Automotive Service Association and the Certified Auto Repair Group, we are ASE Blue Seal Certified and have an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau. To put your mind at ease, we offer a nationwide, 3-year/36,000-mile warranty on parts and labor. We want to make sure that when you and your vehicle leave our shop that you will have no worries and feel safe and secure, even if you’re driving cross-country.

We’ve had a lot of positive feedback for our vehicle inspections, auto repairs, and for our auto mechanics. Here’s just one satisfied customer:

“We have had our cars taken care of at Complete for years now. Besides the expert work they do in keeping our cars safe and operational, they excel even more at customer service. Everybody who works there is upbeat and friendly, not to mention the clean, comfortable lobby/waiting area. We have to go a little further since they moved to Chestnut Expressway, but it's more than worth it, and they offer the invaluable pick-up and drop-off service that really comes in handy for us at times.” –- Larry C.

Vehicle License Plate Renewal

Renewing your vehicle’s license plates can be a daunting task if you don’t have the correct documents or information.

Here’s a list of items needed to renew your license plates.

  1. Proof of ownership: normally a copy of the title will be best, the renewal card that you received in the mail works well also.
  2. Proof of Insurance: you will need up-to-date proof of insurance for the minimum coverage for the state of Missouri.
  3. Motor Vehicle Inspection: Some refer to this as Missouri Vehicle Inspection or MVI. This is where we can help. Complete Automotive has licensed inspectors to perform this service for you. This documentation proves that your vehicle is safe to operate in the great state of Missouri.
  4. Proof of paid property tax: This is the one that normally trips people up when trying to renew or register their vehicle. Copies of your tax receipt are now available on most Missouri County websites, or you can obtain it from your local courthouse. Normally you will receive a copy in the mail after you pay your personal property tax.

Renewal Options:

  1. The Department of Revenue has several locations around the state where you can renew your license in person, please check their website for locations and operating hours.
  2. The DMV (Department of Motor Vehicles) Website also has a link to renew online.

Moving in from Out of State:

  1. The process is the same as registering your vehicle when you move into the state of Missouri. You will need a Tax Waiver instead of proof of property tax. The Tax Waiver will have to be obtained from your local county courthouse.

Always check for any updates or changes in the renewal process on the official Missouri Department of Revenue website.
