My mother-in-law was needing a last minute repair after being stranded 3 hours from home, and this was the closest shop who was able to make repairs to her car in time for her to get back home. She was quoted a very high amount for the repairs being done, $1065. Other shops in the area only charging $550-$750 for the exact repairs. Upon finishing said repairs, Complete Automotive have a very vague, generic receipt with absolutely no breakdown of how the money was spent towards the cost of the repairs, and they even went so far as to not remove the diagnostic fee, which is 100% routine for an automotive shop to do when repairs are done with their business. We have requested a breakdown of their pricing and fees and advise all potential customers to do their homework and do not take this shops word for it when given a quote for repairs.

I appreciate the opportunity to respond to your concerns. We always welcome feedback. You discussed the price with one of our advisors yesterday. During that conversation he explained the repair costs and applied a $50 first-time customer discount to reduce the overall cost. We typically recommend OEM (original equipment manufacturer) parts on Chryslers to ensure a proper repair. Those parts do cost more than aftermarket options which is likely what other shops are estimating. We received your digital authorization prior to proceeding with repairs. I have attached a parts and labor breakdown on the final invoice for your reference. The repair carries a 3 year/36,000 mile nationwide warranty. Shane contacted us stating that comparable shops estimated the repairs for around $700. Are you able to send those estimates to me for review? While we never claim to be the least expensive option, we strive to be competitive in the market. Regarding shop fees, they cover multiple fees, supplies, equipment, and maintenance items required for our shop to operate. The fee amounts are a percentage of the total repair invoice. We typically do not waive testing or inspecting (diagnostic) fees when proceeding with repairs. This charge covers the technicians time to pinpoint the concern, and we do not get that time back even with an approve repair. I'm sorry to hear that we failed to meet your expectations. I understand that price is a factor in the overall experience, but it isn't the only factor in my opinion. It is important to note that we correctly diagnosed the concern and provided a proper repair the same day as the service request. To me, that seems to be a valuable and quality service. At this point I do not believe a refund is warranted based on the aforementioned items. However, I am open to further discussion if you feel I am missing something.
