I have been a long time customer of Complete Automotive. I went in for an oil change the other day. As always, they do dependable work at a fair price. I appreciate small business and like supporting local. Great business with friendly staff and ownership.

What started out as a positive experience has turned into quite the nightmare for us with Complete Automotive. We have had to bring back our Chevy Cobalt now 4 times for the same repair - a leaking head gasket. This initially cost us over $4,000, which, as students, required us to take out a loan. If that was the end of it, we would have dealt with the financial burden and moved on. But that was just the beginning. Our car is now in the shop for the 4th or 5th time, as Complete Automotive has failed to repair the issue again and again. Every time we bring it back home after they state it is fixed, it is very clearly leaking oil the next day. They have had our car for over 8 weeks total for this repair, and currently have it now (for over 3 weeks this time, with no estimated end date in sight.) After directly asking for an update yesterday, they informed us that they are "still considering how to approach the repair...." as the engine bolts will be too strained if they have to disassemble and reassemble for the third time. This was the breaking point for us that has pushed us to write this review. Why did we have to wait to bring it in, if it was going to take 3 weeks for them to just still be considering how to move forward? Again, this totals to over 8 weeks of not having the car, and my wife now has to take me to work and pick me up every day in Republic. That's over 1,000 additional miles put on our other car, and 2 wasted hours of my wife's time each day for at least 8 weeks, and still going...for an issue that should have been fixed the first time we brought it in...or the second...or the third...but yet, here we are. What's worse, is that now it seems we have been put on the back burner, and we are quickly losing confidence that they will properly fix this issue for us at all. I would hope that this blunder would make us a priority in the shop in order to make things right, but that is very very clearly not the case here. Even a quick and proper repair at this point would not compensate us for the wasted time, stress, and massive inconvenience this has caused us.

Even a quick and proper repair at this point would not compensate us for the wasted time, stress, and massive inconvenience this has caused us. Update: The mechanics decided that they would need to take apart the engine for the third time in order to attempt a repair, which would be too much strain on the threads. So, they offered to return the initial payment to us and return our car. We still had to pay interest on the loan, and gave up our car for nearly two months without anything to to show for it, so this was still a major loss to us as customers - but Complete Automotive was atleast honest about the situation and tried to make things right. I can only reasonably change this from a 1 star to a 3 star, because I've never had an experience with a business affect me this negatively overall, but the folks here are undeniably proffesional and courteous.

Hunter, thank you for being patient with us and for understanding our position. We appreciate your updated review and have reviewed and updated our policies that are in place to prevent this sort of a break down again.

Recieved my vehicle back within 2days of dropping it off with the repairs all completed. The office personnel were great in communicating what our vehicle needed, parts availability, and was spot on with completion time. I would truly recommend them to anyone! Mike Perry

I have been a long time Complete Auto customer. I had an unfortunate collision with a deer with my 1999' Ford F350 truck. It damaged my front bumper and valance to the point they had to be replaced. The team at Complete Auto handled the ordering of the needed parts and the installation of the new bumper and valance with top professional service and quality workmanship. The old bumper had a couple of recessed fog lights that were damaged too. The service tech. cut the new fog lights into the new bumper so nicely, they appeared to looked like they were factory installed. I highly recommend Complete Auto for any service work your vehicle may need, even replacing a damaged front bumper and customizing it. Thanks.... Marty

I paid $430 to get new headlight bulbs put in and mostly to get my signals working, which I thought was a lot to begin with, and my signals were back to not working the very next morning. If you don’t know much about vehicle repairs like me; BEWARE!
