Received the best customer service on my routine oil change today!

The battery was drained so they wanted to do an electrical test on my car. But, I had to buy a new battery for them to do the test. When I bought the battery and I went over there to drop it off, they wanted to charge me $45 to put the new battery in the car. Something that takes no more than 3 or 4 minutes. For that fact, I more than likely won't go to Complete anymore.

Complete Automotive is easily the most professional place I've ever gotten auto work done! I am so grateful to have begun working with them since moving to Springfield. They are honest and straightforward, they are punctual and efficient, and the staff is unmatched! Tori is by far the best communicator and one of the most down-to-earth people in the business; she's easily the person that won me over as a permanent customer of Complete Automotive in the first place! Their shuttle service is so handy, and I feel comfortable waiting there in the office too. For the first time I can truly trust my auto mechanic for every step of the repair.

TL,DR; I would not recommend this place for a wheel alignment or state inspection and will never return due to lack of communication, poor customer service, and feeling like the company was trying to get as much money out of me as possible. Now for the long, detailed review: My car was in dire need of a wheel alignment and also needed the state inspection for tags. The old automotive company that I would take my business to closed down, and Firestone was booked out for wheel alignments until late November. After googling places to take my car, Complete Automotive 417 seemed to be a great choice based on the reviews. I originally booked an appointment online on 11/9 and received an email stating I would be contacted from the company to confirm my appointment. This never happened. My fiancé then called a week later set up an appointment for a wheel alignment and inspection for 11/17 at 1PM. He took the car in at the designated time and was told by the mechanic "it would be a couple hours". After waiting about 10 minutes, another mechanic came up to him and stated "I hope he's okay with waiting until 5PM". They stated individuals were out and they were short staffed, which is fine, but being upfront with how long it was going to take would have been nice; I had to leave work to pick him up because it was going to take 4 hours. My car failed state inspection due to my trunk break light being out and my windshield wipers needing to be replaced. No big deal. When contacted, the mechanic told my fiancé that if we bought windshield wipers from them, they would replace them for free, but then we were quoted $45 in labor (quoted it would take 3/10 of an hour) to replace the trunk break light. We refused as this seemed outrageous and my fiancé was confident he could replace it. My fiancé did. In 5 minutes. Complete Automotive was trying to charge us $45 in labor for something that took us 5 minutes to do; that time included watching the minute long YouTube video. We took it back for reinspection the next day 11/18. My fiancé had spoken to them on the phone 11/17 asking if the same time (1PM) was fine; they said they would be able to reinspect the two items that failed and would take about 5 minutes. My fiancé was running late (ETA 2PM) and gave them a call; they said this was still fine. My fiancé brings them the car, they take it back. My fiancé is waiting around for 35 MINUTES for 2 simple items to be re-inspected and was told "it's going to be a while". While waiting at the front, another individual came in and was talking to the front desk. My fiancé recounted that the conversation led to the front desk person was actually the owner and that he usually isn't here and "was just filling in". It was only then that my fiancé was asked from the owner what he was waiting on for the owner to go out, look at the car, and give the inspection sticker. The customer service, quoted pricing, and lack of communication that made this experience absolutely terrible. We will not be returning. Go to Firestone for a wheel alignment and Valvoline for state inspections. They are much better at communication as well as getting the job done quickly and efficiently.

My car had many issues and the check engine light kept coming on and turning off every once in a while. Complete Automotive was able to find all the issues and resolve them for me. There were a few hiccups but they were able to identify the issue and resolve them in a timely manner to get me back on the road. It is satisfying to me that the have all the tools and knowledge to get the job done right so that I don't have to worry about whether my car is going to randomly stop running before reaching my destination.

I had to make a long drive to Kansas City and wanted to do a quick check up on my car before heading out. This place is incredible, from the moment you walk through the door you’re treated as a valuable customer. Everyone takes good care of you. The level of transparency and communication regarding your car is amazing. I was told what was wrong, asked if I wanted to replace any overused/damaged parts, and the customer service was truly genuine. I got my car looked at and fixed and it didn’t even cost too much. They were through with their inspection and now my car drives better and smoother. Thank you so much!! I highly recommend this auto shop for genuine and trustworthy customer service. They all go above and beyond for every single customer. Thank you!!!
