Springfield Auto Repair

I came in to make an appointment, but they fit me in for an oil change and fall check-up. Gavin was, as usual, friendly and helpful!

I have been having issues with a major parasitic draw (1.5-2 amps) on my battery since May, which had completely killed my old battery. I was finally able to take it in to find the problem last week. I figured it would take them a few hours to find… it turned out to be very difficult to locate the issue. It took several days to run all kinds of tests and dig around until they found the wiring issue (the wiring from the alternator). The tech, Scott, was extremely generous with his time and labor. Galen kept me updated and informed every step of the way, which I greatly appreciate. It was stressful not knowing what the issue would be and if I’d be able to afford the costs (I’m a pretty broke college student), but the fact that Galen was very up-front with me about everything they’d be doing and what they’d be charging me for made it the best experience it could’ve been. I’m beyond grateful to Galen and Scott for doing everything they could to help me and getting the problem fixed. The shuttle service was also very helpful!

I originally planned to have my car repaired at Napleton VW and just called Complete Automotive to price check, but I’m so glad I did! They were charging only half the price of the dealership and had GREAT service. I appreciated the in depth text updates, and they got my car finished quickly with a last minute appointment.

Thank you Galen and Complete Automotive! When my Escape wouldn't start and my dealership is over 3 hours away I needed to find someone local willing to look at who would listen to my concern. I called them and they told me to have it towed to them and they would do their best. Galen worked on my car for a day and a half to get to bottom of the issue. He fixed it and was able to tell me what the deeper problem was that had originally caused the issue. Even though my car was a pain and he worked on it periodically for 2 days, they didn't charge me an arm and a leg! I was able to text with my mechanic at any time to check the progress or ask questions. I will gladly be taking my car back there and recommending anyone else to take their vehicles there!

The owners and everyone that works here are the absolute best!! They are so kind and caring. If you don’t understand the paperwork they are willing to walk you through it so you understand. My kids loved they could get snacks and drinks. It’s a very clean and homey atmosphere that you will just feel comfortable in and like you belong. If you are looking for trustworthy shop that will use the best parts to fix your car so the repair lady this is the place for you!!

If they will actually work on your vehicle, they might be good so I can not speak to that. However, my one star rating is because they are unorganized and not that professional. I went to their website where you can input your vehicle year and make/model, tell them the issues you are having, and "allegedly" schedule an appointment to have your vehicle looked at. I used the pull down menu to enter the make, model, and year of my vehicle. I also clicked 9/4/23 and 9 a.m. for my appointment time. At this time, I had no idea they were actually going to be closed on 9/4/23 in observance of Labor Day since the pull down menu let me choose the date and time instead of just saying closed on that day. I waited a few minutes for a confirmation email, but had not received one at that time so I called Complete Automotive to confirm my appointment. A woman answered the phone who told me they are closed on Labor Day, and the appointment was automatically cancelled because my vehicle is too "old" to work on. I told her then why is there a drop down menu that allows you to click on a year all the way back to the 1950's? (My vehicle is a 1997.) I told her they should update their website and only allow a potential customer to choose the oldest year they are willing to work on. Furthermore, if they know they are closed on holidays like Labor Day then a customer should not be given the option to schedule an appointment online for that day. I feel they wasted my time and definitely need to update their website.

When they say complete they mean it. I was impressed with the knowledgeable staff, estimate, and process. There is no mystery in the potential repairs. The absolute best experience I've had with a repair shop. They take care of you. =)

If I could I would give them 10 ⭐ review! Michael was extremely helpful. I was in town on a business trip, and my Explorer had problems. I called around multiple mechanics and everyone was too busy and couldn't get me in today. Most other mechanics were too short staffed or overloaded with work. Michael took time to seek and understand that I was on a bind as I wasn't from the area. Once I got my Explorer towed there, they immediately jumped on the job and had me on my way within just a few hours. I think it was a super long gesture that they took priority over my situation and at 3pm they were able to still be willing to say YES! I know most would have said, tomorrow or next week, which would have been super inconvenient for me. Again thanks Michael and team for the help, and more than anything, letting me feel like a true valued customer, even though it was my first experience there! Highly recommend!!

Last week we traveled approximately 70 miles to Springfield, MO. from our home. We were about 30 miles from Springfield when the AC began blowing warm air. The heat index was 110 that day! We needed to find a reputable automotive business that could, hopefully, get our vehicle in prior to our return trip home. Mike, at Complete Automotive, told us to bring it on out so they could check it. They were busy, but they got us right in. The technician found that the refrigerant was 0.45 lb. low. He performed a vacuum check, and it passed. He also added A/C oil with dye. We did NOT need to run the A/C on maximum on the return trip home. The A/C was VERY cool, a welcomed relief on an extremely hot day. Thanks, Complete Automotive, where technicians are great and customer service is top-notch. Even the waiting room was nice, making for an even better experience!
